We all enjoyed our stay here, a very chilled out time. Elan Valley by car (take a picnic), was very beautiful, Devil’s Bridge also nice and we took the train to Aberystwyth. The Red Kite feeding station worth a visit. The food at the Lamb and Flag is great. Thanks for the Welshcakes, wine and lovely clean lodge and hot tub. Bob the Buthcher sausages are lovely! Hopefuly will return and relax again in the future.

Lodge – “CHILL LAX”, well what can I say, we always stay in Autograph/Ultimate Lodges, but this place tops them all. Very welcoming owners who have such care and respect for their guests – so thoughtful – the lodge is so well equipped, I have never seen so much consideration.

Location – The journey to Aberdovey is breathtaking and is only an hour away, perfect for children and dogs, it is very pretty and safe. Drive to Rhayader and follow signs for Elan Valley to take in all of the reservoirs – the road goes around in a circle back to Rhayader and takes about an hour and is breathtaking – really out of this world! Views, moorland combine this with a trip to the Red Kite feeding station farm on the way back.

I can’t put into words how bowled over I am, I have been taking these weekend breaks for 4 years and finally I have found the perfect place – a perfect retreat – will be back for longer!

Absolutely Fantastic! A wonderful lodge in a lovely location. Sitting in the hot tub at night looking up at the stars was stunning. We really feel relaxed and de-stressed. The owners could not have been any nicer and more helpful. Don’t want to go home. Will definitely come back and recommend to all our family and friends.

Lodges and hot tubs are our favourite holidays but this lodge is my favourite by far. What a stunning place this is. The standard is fantastic and the owners are so friendly and welcoming. The lodge and views have made my stay so memorable and we certainly don’t want to go home. Never seen all the family so relaxed and happy!

This was our 8th visit to the Lon Lodges! The lodge is kept to a very high standard and remains far superior to other lodges. We come to find new places to explore with the dogs and we are looking forward to the nature trails when we return next year.

I checked out in such a dream – still marvelling at the beauty of Lon Lodges, nantmel and the area. I have stayed in some lovely self-catering places – Wales, England, Spain, Tuscany, France – but Lon Lodges is my number One! No competition. Highlights: Driving the old mountain road to Aberystwyth via Devil’s Bridge, swimming off Aberystwyth beach, seeing either a polecat or pine martin and the Lowland Walk as laid out by the Pughs. All was fab!

We have stayed in a lot of places, but this is by far the best! Wonderfully peaceful and well equipped lodge. Kerena was very welcoming and thoughtful with the little touches around the lodge. I would recommend the dams in the Elan Valley as the scenery is breathtaking. In Rhayader try Bob the Butcher’s sausages and bacon. Try the 2 walks as well. We will be coming back.

Our Second visit and again an amazing break from it all. Stephen and Kerena are excellent hosts and the lodge was amazing as ever. We did both farm walks with our dogs, very well marked out and spectacular views on the hill top walk. A trip to the Elan Valley is a must, breathtaking sites and lots to explore. Watched shooting stars overhead from the hot tub – bliss!! Thanks again for our wonderful stay x.

6th visit to Lon Lodges, we have chosen 12.12.12 to get married and thought what better place to do it than at Lon Lodges! Our welcome as always was fabulous, Kerena you do such a super job of looking after your guests. The special touches were much appreciated. From start to finish our time here has been extra special and our son was highly accommodated for with the very nice highchair, travel cot, plastic cutlery and plates etc, the warm floors to crawl on and the xmas lights he loved! Finally our wedding day arrived, we enjoyed being pampered with our hair and make up artist Toni at Century Marks, the day went without a hitch with everyone being so lovely (must be the welsh way!). We all looked forward to coming back to the lodge and getting comfy, we spent hours in the hot tub with our champagne and looked at the stars, seeing lots of shooting stars, it was a perfect end to our special day. We are now planning our return visit to Ash Lodge, see you in 2013!

Lon Lodges, what an amazing discovery! Everything you can wish for and more on your doorstep. The Elan Valley provided us with endless stunning scenery and landscapes. The finale of our stay was the unforgettable pan-aromatic view from the top of the Upland Hill walk from the Lodge. A real re-treat for relaxation, truly inspirational, thanks for being such perfect hosts.

Just come back from a short break at Sycamore Lodge. ” Where do i start? ” We have been to lots of luxury lodges over the years but this one was by far the best. Immaculately clean, spacious with absolutely everything you need. Hot tub was amazing with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. In a great location too, Elan Valley a few miles away plus much much more.10 out of 10 for us and a credit to the host who was very welcoming and thoughtful.

A truly wonderful weekend away to clebrate our son’s 5th birthday! The children adored the nature walks and bird spotting and the hot tub was a big hit with all. This is by far the best Welsh break we’ve had and we’ve done lots and lots!! We will definitely return to Lon Lodges.

Lon Lodges are a truly wonderful place to have a relaxing family holiday. Our lodge was spotlessly clean and provided everything for our holiday. Stellar Safari Lodge – Absolutely stunning stay, humbled to be the first to stay in this magnificent safari tent. Very warm and friendly welcome. Excellent tent tested to the max with the weather but warm and cosy inside. The walk over the little stream to the porch door was magical. Highly recommend A****.
